Strudelbrand Double Feature @ The Owl Acoustic Lounge

On September 26th at 5:30 pm, Owl Acoustic Lounge will host a double film feature showcasing two movies by the local art experiment, STRUDELBRAND. The event offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the local arts community, with dinner and drinks available beforehand, followed by the free film screening.The evening will begin with the premiere of From Silence to Symphony. This breathtaking new film captures the magic of the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra ahead of their season opening. Filmed from the stage and the air, the cinematic short features multiple angles that bring the audience closer to the action than ever before. Viewers will be treated to
an intimate performance of Dvořák’s “Othello Overture” that showcases the incredible talent and passion of the LSO.
Following the premiere, the third screening of (Re)Surface, Pt. 1, will take place.
(Re)Surface, Pt. 1 explores how public art can bring people together, through an cinematic documentation of many current art works around Lethbridge. It follows the story of how StrudelBrand, a grassroots, interactive art experiment works with local artists to turn an ordinary city into a vibrant public art installation. The film encourages viewers to see
the potential for beauty and creativity in unexpected places and to take action to transform their own communities.
Musicians from the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra and filmmakers from STRUDELBRAND will be in attendance.
