On Tuesday, the Lethbridge School Division announced there had been one case of COVID-19 confirmed at LCI, with close contacts being notified by email and told to quarantine for at least 14 days.

As per all school cases, officials aren’t disclosing whether this case involves a student or staff member.

LCI remained open for classes as usual.

The district says it was assured the two cases are not the result of in-school transmission and are instead associated with cases outside of the school community.
