New Internet on the Go service launched at Lethbridge Public Library

LETHBRIDGE, AB – There’s something new being tried out at the Lethbridge Public Library.

It’s an Internet on the Go service which was officially launched Monday, March 1st.

This new service is a way for library members in the community to borrow Chromebooks and/or hotspot devices in order to access the internet on their own schedules, in their own homes.

Madeline Gormley, the Library’s Manager of Information Services, says online access today is more essential than ever, particularly as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. pandemic. “This service offers critical tools for those who may not have Internet access to participate in community life, connect with friends and family, and access information and services.”

Chromebooks and hotspots are available for one-week loans and can not be renewed. Any items not returned on time with be automatically disabled.
