LETHBRIDGE, AB – Staffing shortages are becoming an issue within the Lethbridge School Division right now.
Officials says they’re monitoring staffing levels as the city deals with an increase in COVID-19 cases.
Schools throughout the public district have experienced increased levels of staff absences.
This week on Wednesday and Thursday, for instance, nearly 8% of staff were not in school due to illness on each day.
The Lethbridge School Division stresses it hasn’t been able find replacements for all those people who are away, but it has, to this point, found a way to keep schools operational.
