The Lethbridge Police Service is looking for its next group of Community Peace Officers.

The deadline to apply is August 30th. Successful applicants will go through 22 weeks of cadet training in Medicine Hat starting in January.

Police Chief Rob Davis says those who complete training will be offered a full time position as one of Lethbridge’s CPOs which will be used to fill future vacancies within the ranks of the LPS as police officers.

Davis is encouraging anyone interested in a career in policing to apply.

He says it’s a great way to get a foot in the door, hone your skills and become a regular police officer.
