Lethbridge region MLAs take on cabinet committee positions

Multiple southern Alberta MLAs have been named to cabinet policy committees.

Lethbridge East MLA and minster of affordability and utilities Nathan Neudorf will sit on the Alberta First committee, alongside Taber Warner MLA Grant Hunter.

MLA for Cardston-Siksika Joseph Schow will sit on the Building Communities committee.

Chelsae Petrovic, MLA for Livingstone-Macleod will sit on the Public Safety and Wellness committee. The cabinet policy committees review policy decisions, set strategic priorities and contribute to proposals and review of legislation.

“I want to thank the cabinet ministers and MLAs who are stepping up to take on this important work on behalf of all Albertans,” says Premier Dannielle Smith. “As we continue to hear from Albertans and Alberta organizations and businesses, it’s critical that we have robust conversations throughout the process. Each committee member brings a mix of experience and new perspectives to find solutions to our province’s immediate priorities, including growing and diversifying our economy, building safe, strong communities, and defending Alberta’s interests.”
