Alberta Health Service break Toys for Tickets donation record

Alberta Health Services collected a record number of toys this year with its Toys for Tickets campaign.

The initiative, which ended on Dec. 15, let people donate toys instead of paying for parking tickets at AHS facilities. More than 870 toys were collected across the province, compared to 470 last year.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible community that turned parking tickets into moments of compassion,” says Mark Van Damme, an AHS manager of parking operations. “Your support has truly brightened the season for both our staff and the young hearts that will now have more toys to play with over the holidays.”

All toys collected in Lethbridge will be given to children staying at Chinook Regional Hospital.
