Wind forces closure at Lethbridge waste and recycling centre

Strong winds have forced the Lethbridge Waste and Recycling Centre to close public and commercial drop-off at the Lethbridge Landfill.

The City of Lethbridge said in an online statement that strong gusts are affecting public safety at the facility.

The closure includes drop-off for yard waste, branches, white wood, metal and recyclable shingles.
