Taber’s Community Centre naming partnership announced

One of Taber’s most recognizable community facilities is getting a new name, as part of a new partnership between the Town of Taber and Inter Pipeline.

Moving forward, the facility will be known as the Inter Pipeline Community Centre after securing naming rights to the facility for a period of 10 years.

The partnership marks a new investment in recreation in Taber and brings together the Town and the sponsor in support of a facility that has served generations of residents, families, athletes, and visitors.

“It means a great deal to see a company with a strong presence in our community choose to invest back into the places our residents use everyday,” said Mayor Andrew Prokop. “Their support helps ensure these well-loved spaces can continue serving families for years to come.”

The Community Centre has been at the heart of recreation and community life in Taber for more than five decades.

Today, the facility brings together a wide-range of recreation and gathering spaces, including the 56-year-old arena and 35-year-old Aquafun Centre, along with other facilities encompassed within the Centre.

The naming rights and sponsorship opportunities were made publicly available through an Expression of Interest process, inviting businesses and organizations to explore naming opportunities for the Community Centre and select spaces and amenities within it.

The sponsor secured the naming rights for the Community Centre itself, while separate naming and sponsorship opportunities remain available for select interior spaces.

Revenue generated through the naming rights partnership will be reinvested directly into the Centre, helping support the ongoing operation, maintenance, and improvement of the facility and its amenities.

Residents will begin seeing the new name and branding introduced at the Centre, as the partnership rolls out. New signage and updates to Town materials, websites, and other facility references will follow.
