Taber says bye bye to mandatory mask wearing July 1st

TABER, AB – If you’re in Taber you will no longer be required to wear a mask as of Canada Day.

This week, Taber Town Council voted to “fall in line with provincial guidelines.”

Taber’s temporary face-covering bylaw, which was put in place in November, was repealed on Monday.

Taber Council says it wants to create consistent understanding around COVID-19, but still encourages respect among residents, regardless if you make the personal choice to continue wearing a mask or not.

Alberta’s stage three re-opening kicks in on July 1st, which will mean almost all pandemic restrictions will be lifted including the province-wide mask mandate.
