LETHBRIDGE, AB – If you rent a place in Lethbridge to live you may have experienced a jump in the monthly cost last year.

According to the National Rent Report from Rentals.ca, average monthly rent was up year-over-year here in the and in some cases, a fair bit.

Last month, the average cost for a one bedroom place was up 4.6% to around $994. That’s compared to December of 2020.

For a two bedroom home in the city, rent last month was just under $1,200. That a jump of nearly 7% year-over-year.

Even with that, Lethbridge is still on the lower end of rental prices on a list of 35 cities across Canada. Lethbridge came in at number 31.
