A Fort Macleod man is facing multiple charges after a significant amount of steel was stolen from a CP Rail property.

Fort Macleod RCMP received several complaints of break and enter and theft from local business owners between Nov. 6 and Dec. 1 and officers worked with CP Rail Police to investigate.

Patrick William Jenkins, 46, faces three counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, driving an uninsured vehicle and trespassing on rail property.

He was held for a release hearing and released for court on Dec. 14 in Fort Macleod.
