The City of Lethbridge has announced the annual road maintenance program for road milling and paving begins Wednesday.
This maintenance helps roads to continue to be in driving condition for drivers all year long.
Any paving takes place after the milling has been completed on roads and drivers, especially those on motorcycles, are reminded to drive with caution as the road surface can be uneven. The city also urges drivers to obey any posted speed limits and detours.
Phase 1 includes arterial, collector and local roads like 28th Street North southbound between 12th and 14th Avenue North, 20th Avenue South along all Lakeside Road South and areas along 5th Avenue North from 29th Street to 41st Street North. The full list can be found on the city’s website.
Any lane reductions or closures have been planned to help limit the impact to traffic but the city says that drivers may still experience some minor delays in certain areas.
