Lethbridge man facing more than two dozen charges including manufacturing firearms

One man is facing more than two dozen drug and weapon offenses after Lethbridge police investigated reports of a person selling drugs out of their ground floor apartment window. 

A short term-investigation resulted in a search of a residence along the 300 block of 5 Street south on June 16, where officers found a multiple weapons. 

Police say they seized a rifle, crossbow, multiple airsoft pistols, homemade zip guns, a homemade long barrel shotgun and assorted homemade gun parts and ammunition. Officers also found Small quantities of pills, suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and cash proceeds of crime. 

No one was inside when police conducted the search, but LPS says the man was later arrested without incident. 

Richard Latrmouille, 62, of Lethbridge is facing charges including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, manufacturing a firearm or weapon, Five counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, four counts of careless storage of a firearm, six counts of possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public, four counts of possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm with ammunition, five counts of possession of a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence. 

Latremouille was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court July 4, 2023.
