Police search for suspects in home invasion, shooting

Lethbridge police are asking for help finding suspects after a northside home was broken into and the occupants were assaulted with weapons.

The incident is believed to be targeted and the Lethbridge Police Services says it does not believe there is any risk to public safety. The people inside the home sustained minor injuries.

Police responded to the 200 block of Stafford Bay North on July 30 around 11:30 p.m. and say three unknown men forced the front door of the home open.

“The unknown subjects carried weapons inside the residence and during the assault against the home occupants, one of the unknown males discharged a firearm inside the residence,” reads a news release from LPS. “Following the assault, the three males left the area in a newer model grey coloured SUV.”

The men are described as being in their 20s or 30s and wore dark clothing, including face coverings.

Police ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
