The next phase of construction on the University Drive Twinning project is scheduled to get going Tuesday, Aug. 6.
The City says in this phase, the RiverStone Boulevard intersection will re-open and work will move south to the University Drive and Grand River Blvd / Rocky Mountain Boulevard intersection.
To make this all happen, the east leg of the intersection will be closed for about two months. Northbound and southbound traffic on University Drive though will not be impacted.
People living in RiverStone, are asked to use RiverStone Blvd or Riverglen Link W to access University Drive.
The mid-block pedestrian crossing will be relocated closer to Grand River Blvd W prior to school starting on September 3rd.
While the Grand River Blvd intersection is closed, crews will complete the paving of Grand River Blvd which was part the City’s 2019 milling and paving program. This is expected to begin on Tuesday, August 7 and be completed by Monday, August 12.
