A warrant has been issued for a man wanted in connection to a stabbing in Lethbridge.

Police responded to the assault after paramedics found the victim in the area of the 800 block of 5 Ave South around 6:15 p.m. on Dec. 5.

“The 38-year-old victim was transported to hospital and later air lifted to Calgary. The victim is currently in stable condition,” reads a news release from the Lethbridge Police Service. “Following further investigation, including a review of video surveillance, the subject was identified. The accused and victim – who are known to one another – had been involved in a verbal altercation prior to the assault. This was not a random incident.”
