Lethbridge County celebrates decade since municipal rebrand

Lethbridge County is marking two milestones this year, not only celebrating the 60th anniversary of being a municipality but a decade since the community rebranded.

According to the county, in 2014 the decision was made to rebrand from the County of Lethbridge to Lethbridge County, which included a new logo that went along with the name change. According to the county, the changes recognized the community’s rural roots but also took a modern shift.

A statement from Lethbridge County says “When choosing the new logo back in 2014, it was important for the County to select elements that truly represented our region. Our logo embraces the rural and agricultural essence of our identity.”

The wheat sheaf represents the crops grown in the area, and the 50th anniversary being given a nod with the gold colouring. In addition, the logo also highlights the irrigation that supports the community’s agriculture with the blue curved line, and the coulees and landscape are highlighted with the curved green line.
