LPS uses CompStat, a data-driven crime reduction strategy where analytics are used to identify prolific offenders, high-crime areas and the most effective deployment of police resources.

Each month, LPS identifies prolific and wanted offenders and officers are assigned to conduct and enforce release conditions or locate and apprehend those with outstanding warrants. As part of these efforts, photos of wanted subjects are released to the public to seek assistance in locating them.
