Kids ‘N’ Kops graduates build positive relationships with local police

Earlier this week, another Kids ‘N’ Kops session wrapped, as participants concluded the program with a graduation ceremony.

Kids left the program with smiles, new perspectives on policing and memories that will last beyond summer.

This long-running partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lethbridge and the Lethbridge Police Service brings together officers and youth in a three-day mini police academy.

The program builds positive relationships and demystifies police work, according to LPS.

“Through a combination of educational and recreational activities, the program helps children gain confidence and see police officers as approachable mentors,” notes LPS.
