Road construction at Lethbridge’s Waste and Recycling Centre

Starting Aug. 23, construction will begin at the main intersection within the City of Lethbridge Waste and Recycling Centre and east road to the public and commercial drop-offs.

According to the City, the project will include excavation, base preparation, and paving. “This work is being done to improve flow throughout the site.”

Access to the landfill, drop-offs, Blue Sky Centre, and other facilities will be maintained.

Customers are encouraged to budget extra time when visiting the Centre during construction. To minimize delays, some work is planned to take place outside of regular operating hours.

This project is expected to take five weeks, weather permitting.
