Two Coaldale residents are facing charges, including possessing of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, after a short investigation late last month.
On Nov. 26, around 2:30 a.m., Coaldale RCMP received word of a disturbance at a local residence. When officers arrived, two men were in a vehicle outside of the home. Police say they detained one of the males who was the subject of a complaint and after further investigation, the second male was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Scott Conine, 41, of Coaldale has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for the purpose of trafficking and five counts of possessing a prohibited firearm.
Robert McDonald, 44, also a resident of Coaldale has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for the purpose of trafficking, careless use of a firearm, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Both have been remanded into custody with a court date in Lethbridge on Dec. 7.
