Heat warning issued for Lethbridge

Lethbridge is under a heat warning with daytime highs above 30 expected for much of this week.

Tuesday and Thursday could be as hot as 36, with overnight lows hovering around 14 degrees.

Environment Canada advises residents to take precautions, including rescheduling outdoor activities to cooler times in the day and taking breaks from the heat. It also reminds people to pay close attention to people who are vulnerable to the heat  and monitor for symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Symptoms can include high body temperature, lack of sweat, confusion, fainting, and unconsciousness.

Cooler temperatures are expected on Friday and the forecast shows a chance of rain on the weekend.
