Pancake breakfast to kick off Whoop-Up Days next week

Whoop-Up Days is next week and it will kick off with the traditional pancake breakfast at the Interfaith foodbank.

Along with breakfast, there will be activities including games, music and free seeds from the learning garden.

The event will be before the Whoop-Up Days parade at 7 a.m. on Aug. 22. The breakfast will cost $3 for adults and $2 for kids and all proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the foodbank.  Kids under three get in free.

“Along with the traditional pancakes and sausages, we will also be serving real eggs, fruit, juice and milk; and even our famous protein packed baked beans. Come for the food, but stay for the fun with live music by Mike Murchison and tour the Interfaith Learning Garden where participants can take home seeds for next year’s harvest,” reads a news release from the Interfaith Foodbank.

The event will include a kids’ corner with garden games, crafts and face painting, as well as a wild west photo booth.
