Alberta Health Services has announced that the Fort Macleod Emergency Department will be temporarily closed until 1 p.m Wednesday.
The closure is due to a lack of physician coverage and during the closure, nursing staff will remain on-site to care for any long-term care residents and EMS calls will be rerouted to Lethbridge.
Those looking for emergency care services can go to Pincher Creek, Cardston or Lethbridge.
AHS also reminds residents to call Health Link at 811 for any non-emergency medical related questions.
