Third week of Christmas Check Stops removes four allegedly impaired drivers from the road

Four impaired drivers were taken off the road during the third week of the Lethbridge Police Service Christmas Checkstop campaign.

Police and Alberta Sheriffs checked about 250 vehicles and along with the four drivers taken off the road, issued two cautions and 19 tickets.

The checkstop campaign will continue into the new year. 

Police checked nearly 1,300 drivers and apprehended seven impaired drivers during the campaign last December.
