UPDATE: Police investigate pedestrian-involved collision

UPDATE: Lethbridge Police have re-opened parts of 2 A Ave North that were closed earlier Thursday night. Just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 4th, police advised the public they blocked off 2 A Ave North and Stafford Dr, 10 Street and 12 Street to investigate a pedestrian-involved collision. The road was re-opened just before 10:20 p.m. the same night.

Motorists are being advised to avoid parts of 2 A Ave North as Lethbridge Police investigate a pedestrian-involved collision.

According to officials, the collision happened in the area of 2 A Avenue and 10 Street North. Police say the pedestrian was taken to hospital by EMS after sustaining serious injuries.

Officers from the Traffic Response Unit are on scene to investigate and have blocked off 2 A Ave North and Stafford Dr, 10 Street and 12 Street. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
