600+ vehicles stopped during month long Taber Police check stop campaign

During the Taber Police Services annual December Checkstop campaign a pair of drivers received Immediate Roadside Sanctions Cautions for having a blood alcohol level of 0.05 or greater.

According to the municipal police service, seven check stops were conducted in the 31-day period, with 650 vehicles checked during that time. Along with the pair of IRS cautions, police issued one liquor violation and nine warnings.

According to the Taber service, the Alberta Sheriffs assisted in three of the seven check stops.
