Coaldale Citizens on Patrol looking for volunteers

Coaldale residents are being invited to learn more about a volunteer community initiative, focused on improving community public safety.

Coaldale Citizens on Patrol Committee is looking for more volunteers, and inviting residents to their next meeting at the Coaldale Civic Square Atrium on Wednesday, January 17th at 7 p.m. According to Mayor Jack Van Rijn, the program is an important part of the community and the residents who take part in the initiative volunteer their time working alongside the RCMP. Volunteers serve as a “Extra set of eyes and ears,” while conducting active community patrols.

“Their primary responsibility is to observe and report any activities that may raise concern or seem to have a criminal nature.”

Residents who are interested in learning more information about the program can check out the Citizens on Patrol website or send an email.
