Lethbridge Police ask public for video footage from Mayor Magrath Drive incident

A 34-year-old Lethbridge man has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, causing a disturbance, mischief under $5,000 and failure to comply with a probation order. 

On Apr. 11, at approximately 7:24 p.m., Lethbridge Police responded to multiple calls of a man with a weapon walking in and out of traffic along Mayor Magrath Drive and striking at vehicles. Upon arrival, police located and arrested the subject, Scott Anthony Angel Varhaug. 

Lethbridge Police are asking anyone who may have cellphone or dashcam footage of the incident around the area of Mayor Magrath Drive and 9 Avenue South between 6:55 to 7:35 p.m. to come forward. Call police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 24006461.
