National Child Day Celebration

Family Centre, Building Brains Together, Holy Sprit School Division, Lethbridge Plays and Lethbridge Public Library have partnered together to bring a National Child Day family event to Lethbridge on Saturday November 18, 2023  9:30am – 12:00pm at Lethbridge College.  National Child Day is celebrated nationally on November 20th. The day is dedicated to highlighting the rights of children and youth and ensuring their voices are heard. Each year one of the rights from the UN Convention on the Rights of Children in 1989. This year’s theme is “every child has the right to be included”.We have several agencies hosting booths with fun activities for children and youth to explore, door prizes and entertainment. Booths provided by Parents as Teachers, Holy Spirit Schools, Build Brains Together, Lethbridge Public Library, Family Centre, Family Ties, Youth One, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Helen Schuler Centre, Lethbridge School Division, Lethbridge Sport Council, Lethbridge College Early Childhood students, Opokaa’sin Early Intervention Society, and  Alberta Health Services just to name a few. The mayor’s office will give a formal welcome and our entertainment will bring joy and celebration to our event.
