LETHBRIDGE, AB – The first planeload of Pfizer’s children’s vaccine has arrived in Canada and is now being shipped off to the provinces.
The feds have said 2.9 million doses will arrive by the end of the week which is enough to give one shot to every child between the ages of 5 and 11.
Appointments here in Alberta are expected to open up later this week, and in the meantime, parents can pre-register their kids through the provincial booking system online.
Health Minister Jason Copping says Alberta has proven it’s able to safely and quickly deliver significant volumes of doses and this time will be no different.
Kids under 12 will continue to have access to businesses and venues participating in the Restrictions Exemption Program regardless of their vaccination status.
