Wind takes out power poles in west Lethbridge

Tuesday night’s wind was strong enough to knock over power poles in west Lethbridge.
A post on the city’s Facebook says 11 electric utility staff worked into the night to address multiple downed poles. They had power restored in about nine hours and say the poles were in good condition, but succumbed to the wind.
“We’re so proud of our staff who work hard every day to keep the lights on, the water running and things humming along in our homes, businesses and facilities,” the post says.
