More than $5,000 was raised at the 4th Annual Charity Checkstop on Saturday.
The funds, along with 1,459 unwrapped presents and just over one thousand pounds of food will be given to the Christmas Hope campaign, which helps to coordinate the donations between six local agencies.
Michelle Gallucci, Director of Advancement & Communications with Lethbridge Family Services, says “We believe that illuminating Christmas spirit is more important than ever for our children and families in Lethbridge who need assistance.”
The 4th Annual Charity Checkstop was on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the west parking lot at Park Place Mall.
