Alberta Occupation Health and Safety has taken over the investigation of an incident that resulted in the death of a 42-year-old Taber man.
According to Taber Police around 5:35 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9th police officers and Taber Emergency Services were called to an industrial accident in the 5700 block of 54th Avenue. Upon initial investigation, police say the 42-year-old Taber man is believed to have been working underneath a large charter bus when the bus collapsed on him. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Taber police did the initial investigation before handing it over to the Alberta Occupation Health and Safety investigators as it has been determined to not be a Taber Police Service matter.
