The latest data from Rentals.ca and Urbanation shows a one-bedroom rental in Lethbridge, on average, costs $1,193. A two-bedroom unit averages $1,409.
Month-over month, a one bedroom unit saw a decrease of 3.7 per cent in January. A two bedroom saw a decrease of 1.6 per cent.
Year-over-year, the both saw an increase. Average rent for a one bedroom increased 2.2 per cent and a two bedroom unit by 1.6 per cent.
Lethbridge ranked 34th out of 35 cities on the list. Vancouver topped the list and Saskatoon ranked lowest.
Nationally, rent ended 2023 at a record high with an average of $2,178. This is an 8.6 per cent increase year-over-year.
