Male charged with aggravated assault in connection with stabbing

Lethbridge Police have charged 18-year-old Robert Junior Rabbit, of Lethbridge, with aggravated assault and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with an incident where a 21-year-old male was stabbed.

On Mar. 24, at approximately 1 a.m., police responded to a motel along the 2200 block of 7 Avenue South after a report of an injured male in the lobby. Police located a 21-year-old male with stab injuries. He was transported to hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. An 18-year-old male was subsequently arrested without incident at the scene and a knife was recovered.

Following further investigation it was determined the parties involved are known to one another and had been socializing with several other people in one of the rooms, when a dispute occurred and resulted in the victim being stabbed.
