First LPS Town Hall of 2024 focused on downtown Lethbridge

Those interested in learning about policing in the city’s downtown are being invited to attend the Lethbridge Police Services’ first open house of the year.

The Wednesday, April 10th open house at the Multicultural Centre will be the first of four town halls that LPS will be hosting throughout the year. According to officials during the Town Hall, Sergeant Ryan Darroch with the Downtown Policing Unit will give a presentation focused on “challenges and issues facing our city centre and what police are doing in 2024 to help address them.” Following the presentation those in attendance will have the chance to ask their questions during the open mic period.

Throughout 2024 LPS will hold four of these events, focussed on the city’s downtown, north, south and west areas.
The April 10th event will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Multicultural Centre on 6th Avenue South.
