For the second time this season, the Lethbridge Hurricanes’ Logan Stuart has been named the Ricky’s WHL Rookie of the Week.
The Washington Capitals prospect received the honour for the week ending Nov. 1.
The 18-year-old from Manhattan Beach, California, recorded four points (two goals, two assists) and a plus-two rating to help the ‘Canes collect three of a possible four points on an East Division road trip.
The forward earned an assist on his older brother Jake’s first Western Hockey League goal on Oct. 30 in a 3-2 overtime loss against the Brandon Wheat Kings. Despite Lethbridge’s loss, Stuart finished the evening with an assist, a plus-one rating and six face-off wins.
On Nov. 1, the ‘Canes rocked the Regina Pats with a 6-3 victory.
Stuart scored twice in the first period, recording a power play goal to open the contest and adding another just over two minutes later. The 18-year-old finished his night with a primary assist on team captain Owen Berge’s insurance goal. For his efforts, Stuart was named the second star of the night.
Stuart serves as an alternate captain for Lethbridge, and has tallied 10 goals, including six on the power play, and seven assists in 14 games so far in the 2026-27 season.
He is tied for first place on the team in goals, while ranking second overall in points. Across the entire league, Stuart is tied for second in goals among rookies and is third in points.
He was originally drafted by the ‘Canes with the 36th overall pick in the second round of the 2023 WHL U.S. Priority Draft and signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement on June 5, 2026. Less than a month later, the Washington Capitals selected Stuart with the 208th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2026 NHL Draft.
Stuart was previously named Rookie of the Week Oct. 13, with teammate Dayne Beuker earning the honours Sept. 21.
