Two ceremonies to mark Remembrance Day in Lethbridge

There will be two separate ceremonies for Lethbridge residents to attend to mark Remembrance Day tomorrow. The larger one will be at the Lethbridge and District Exhibition and will include a parade and service hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion. Doors will open at 9 a.m. and the service will begin at 10:30 at the South Pavilion.

The second service will be at the Cenotaph on Veterans Ave (4th Ave) in front of the Yates Memorial Centre, starting at 10:40 a.m. It will be conducted by the local 20th Independent Field Battery R.C.A. and will include a scheduled fly by of the RCAF C-17 transport plane from the City of Lethbridge 429 Squadron, if operations allow. The Cenotaph service will have a reduced ceremony.

The Legion will also be open from 1 p.m. and the Lethbridge Military Museum will be open noon to 4 p.m. for Remembrance Day.
