Multiple regional fire departments responded to what is described as a large haystack fire in the northern part of Lethbridge County Tuesday night.
According to Lethbridge County Emergency Services, around 12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9th, crews from Coaldale, Coalhurst, Nobleford, and Picture Butte responded to the fire, working to contain and extinguish the blaze. Officials say the flames did not spread onto neighbouring properties and no injuries were reported.
Roughly 30 firefighters were reported to be on the scene, and the Enchant Fire Department provided mutual aid. The cause of the fire has been deemed accidental.
